Gavin has left CableLabs on the 30th Sept, and is now keen to explore any suitable opportunities which could be open to him. Gavin's time at CableLabs Testing Services / Kyrio, saw him successfully fulfil the role as Consultant Director, Engineering and Architecture for 16 months. A role where he was able to audit and overhaul the CableLabs/Kyrio WiFi testing product portfolio, as well as support the Kyrio worldwide sales function as Pre Sales leader. Gavin was able to design many new test capabilities for Kyrio's CPE WiFi and Broadband services as well as transforming the WiFi testing team's day to day operation and efficiency.Gavin was until May 2023, the Director of CPE HW & WiFi Certification for Liberty Global, having led the creation and then the ongoing leadership of those test labs delivering advanced testing covering WiFi testing from the worlds 1st WiFi Testing Warehouse, CPE Security, HW and SW, Comprehensive Interoperability testing for Broadband and TV devices, CPE Hardware testing and Fire investigation services as well the Automation & Development platforms to those Test labs for Liberty Global, these labs delivered advanced Quality Controls servicing many millions of Liberty Global's Broadband and TV customers throughout Europe and the UK. Gavin was previously the Head of Virgin Media's CPE and Wireless Engineering team for 3 years. prior to being a very successful and motivated freelance consultant Project Manager, with many years experience in both Broadband and Technology UK and EMEA markets. Gavin is a delivery focused Technical Manager, with a strong reputation and track record for creating and leading change, Gavin has retained many in-depth skills in Management, Product Development from Business case to launch, and Product Management. Gavin has strong experience in complex Multi Vendor Programme and Project Mgt, Technology Product Design, Product Development Mgt and Product Marketing in the Internet & Telecoms, Mobile Internet, IT and Networking markets in UK and Europe. Before this, Gavin was in Virgin Media, where he overhauled and then successfully ran the Virgin Media CPE Engineering team and its Test labs, creating a dynamic highly skilled testing team, delivering a highly effective testing service needed to meet Virgin Medias multi million Consumer and B2B customer base
