Main responsibilities:• Assisting fee earners with their casework, including taking instructions from clients, draft proofs of evidence and witness statements, creating jury bundles, liaising with counsel, courts and Crown Prosecution Services via email and phone.• Attending hearings at the Magistrate and Crown courts and drafting attendance notes. Organising and attending conferences with clients and counsel, and taking notes during these.• Performing administrative tasks such as dealing with correspondence, managing diaries, and diarising dates for fee earners.• Utilising the legal case management software Quill, to open and close files, regularly uploading documents to client files, updating ledgers and time recording for fee earners.
