I am a student at Brigham Young University pursuing a Masters of Information Systems Management degree. I've dabbled in subjects from engineering to music, and I found that information systems had the perfect combination of creativity, technology, and learning to suit my personality. When I finished my first few programming classes in college, my family members began receiving websites instead of birthday cards, I had created a responsive website for a music studio I run, and I had accepted a position as a teaching assistant.I love how many opportunities for communication the information systems world provides. My ideal job is one that allows me to work with people and technology to make a real difference in the lives of others, all the while learning new skills. As a teaching assistant, I used technology to strengthen students' understanding of programming basics and as a computing specialist for BYU, I worked with multiple external organizations. Now I'm looking to expand my resume to include industry experience.One phrase that has guided my life is: "Go change the world." Dramatic right? The thing is, I honestly believe everyone has the ability to do just that, one step at a time. I believe progress takes hard work, a willingness to take responsibility for the challenges ahead, and a growth mindset.
