● Administration of ONESOURCE Tax Provision and Corptax software used in the preparation of tax provisions and returns.● Primary resource of the tax department in addressing general accounting, consolidation, and general information technology issues.● Preparation of the consolidated Federal returns for years 2007-2009 with minimal assistance by full-time or part-time contractors. The returns had immaterial audit adjustments after examination by the IRS. ● Development and implementation of systems and procedures for the electronic filing of the consolidated federal return.● Coordination of the effort to convert the return preparation approach from an entity centric process to one based on book/tax differences. This brought consistency in calculation of deferred items across all entities and improved the accuracy of the cumulative book/tax differences used in ASC 740.● Design and maintenance of tax specific entity structures within the GAAP reporting software (Hyperion HFM) and other alternative procedures as needed to streamline the calculation of elimination entries for the consolidated return as well as various sub-consolidations.● Maintenance of the corporate entity organization chart for use by the tax department. The chart took into account existing accounting relationships, legal entity status, and ownership of over 150 accounting units.● Development and execution of procedures related to the importation and mapping of general ledger balances into the tax provision and return preparation software.● Review and preparation of workpapers in support of book/tax differences used in the provision and return.
