As Hardware Group Manager at ACTIA Nordic AB, I have the pleasure to lead and develop the group of skilled engineers that designs the hardware for our products. At ACTIA Nordic, our main focus is to develop telematic units for the automotive industry (light vehicles), heavy vehicles like trucks and buses and Off Highway equipments, e.g. fork lifts and agriculture equipment. We also develop other types of dedicated products as well as back-end systems for managing connected units.

At ACTIA I started out as a part of the HW development team for an automotive telematics control unit. My initial focus was to setup a HW verification strategy and secure a good HW verification but I was eventually involved in almost all parts of the design work. In March 2015 I took over the HW Subproject Manager role within the project and managed the HW Subproject until product launch in 2016.After the first initial project, I managed several HW subprojects as well as the final year of a full development project for a high volume automotive telematics control unit.I also worked with improving the tool support system to prepare the HW development process for a more agile approach, and took the role as HW Team Leader when we eventually changed the way of developing HW in a more agile setup.

ST-Ericsson's facility in Linköping was acquired by Cybercom in October 2012 and I continued to work for ST-Ericsson until April 2013.After the ST-Ericsson assignment I worked within Cybercom with several business development activities until I started working as Hardware Development Engineer at Actia Nordic AB.At Cybercom I also created and held a two-day course in Personal Efficiency.

I worked as Systems Manager and Systems Architect at the Test SW department. The Test SW department developed SW to support calibration, test and customization of mobile products based on ST-Ericsson's chipsets.I was responsible for the design of the Test SW architecture and the functionality needed for state of the art calibration and test of the multi-mode modem platforms NovaThor and Thor. I was one of the main drivers for the creation of a calibration and test solution that most likely was the world's most efficient at time of launch.As Systems Manager I also had a powerful impact in setting the strategy and roadmap for Test SW. This included e.g. the creation of new embedded SW architectures at the right times to support inclusion of functionality to meet customer requirements.The work also included leading smaller teams (2-6 resources) in creating complete Test SW system design based on customer requirements in several consecutive and parallel projects. Collaboration within ST-Ericsson System Management was crucial for Test SW to be able to inherit functionality from the main platform or to have HW support for own implementation. As a result of the collaboration, requirements were put both on HW and SW to achieve these goals.

The embedded Test SW was used at R&D and in production of mobile communication products based on EMP's chipsets. I was the first Systems Manager for embedded Test SW at EMP and as such I also had impact in setting the long term strategy and roadmap for Test SW. Focus was also put on creating a structure for requirements and related system design.

I worked at the Test department with everything from pre-studies of products to be industrialized to development of electronics HW to be used in fixtures in high volume mobile phone production.I was one of the initiators and the initial project manager for the design of a Test SW platform running on PC, creating a SW structure for handling multiple test objects and multiple test instruments in a modular and flexible setup to be used for volume production of mobile phones. The targeted users were Ericsson Mobile Platform customers.I also designed several different test solutions for volume production of Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The work included specification of fixture mechanics HW, development of electronics HW and different types of SW development. The different types of developed SW was used to support the developed electronics HW, to support test and calibration of the electronics HW and to support test and calibration of mobile phones.

I started at a manufacturing department as an assembler of board level electronics which also included board level soldering and I worked there for half a year.I continued as electronics tester in production for half a year. Then I moved on to the Test department were I developed test solutions for products in the defence communication segment until I started my master studies in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering at Linköping Institute of Technology.During school holidays I had different assignments such as production test of electronics and calibration of measurement instruments.
