6 month contract project for a startup using React, Vue and NodeJS.

I'm responsible for managing front-end and back-end software engineers and oversee multiple projects in both web app and mobile development pods.I work with various engineering leads and product owners in both internal and external teams to gather acceptance criteria, discuss and architect robust and effective solutions and communicate project time and cost estimates to stakeholders.I collaborate closely with our DevOps engineers to design and follow our code quality and security guidelines and continually develop our CI/CD pipeline systems.

Designed and built a custom fronted component library used by frontend devs in the redesign and expansions of Gradecam's main web applications. Worked closely with product designers to ensure parity between the design system specifications the the components. Leveraged Vite, Vue (v2 & v3), Typescript, Pinia for state management, Storybook, as well as NodeJS and MongoDB on the backend. Ensured backwards-compatibility with legacy AngularJS system.

Illuminate provides technology solutions to school districts across the country. I design, develop and deliver new functionality and enhancements to various parts of the platform including Online Testing and Assessment Item Authoring. I work closely with Product & UX and architect technical solutions that meet their needs and I work with the engineering team serving as both a software architect and an engineer to build and deliver the solution.

Worked closely with company senior engineering & leadership to design, develop and deliver a custom data ingestion and migration solution that employed modern web technologies to provide a user-friendly, drag-and-drop data mapping system that automated customer data imports. The time was reduced down to less than an hour to complete a customer’s SIS import that previously took an average of 6 weeks to complete.Helped enhance and extend the Online Testing system with various features, tools and supports including TTS (text-to-speech), drawing tools, graphing and various other item types. Built and extended 3rd party integrations with Learnosity, GradeCam and other EdTech partners.

Consulted with various clients in the security and legal industries to solve complex engineeringproblems and delivered custom, white-label solutions to various companies includingLawMatters, Law Prodigy, TowSuite Inc, Patrol Port Inc and various other partners & entities.Developed mobile-friendly user portals, API integrations, data aggregation and reporting andreal-time monitoring via web sockets.

Designed and implemented new modules and features that extended the functionality of thecompany’s transaction manager. I was responsible for designing and building the backendproperty listing portal which implemented real-time data, image upload and manipulation utilities,data export features and was also responsible for a major UX upgrade and was the engineeringlead on a critical backend database migration project.

I worked on a specialist team to engineer the data interface between Retail Anywhere and the NetSuite platform. The interface handled large scale point-of-sale transactions between the two systems. My role was largely backend building services and data migration flows. Retail Anywhere was merged into the NetSuite ecosystem and NetSuite is now a part of Oracle.

I was responsible for the design and development of the companies Radiology InformationSystem (RIS) which was used to store and manage DICOM (X-Ray and Ultrasound) imaging dataas well as a visual map and scheduling system that used Google Maps and an existing GPSsystem to show staff where technicians were in city and enable them to schedule incomingappointments using our custom intelligence suggestions. I also built the company's billing modulethat supported various billing API’s and I wrote a custom reporting module specifically for medicalbilling for mobile radiology. As the IT department grew, I became the IT manager and worked with junior engineers and contractors to handle both software and hardware needs of the business.

After promotion to software developer was responsible for working with various companypartners to build data interfaces (data bridges) using C# and various database connectivitytechnologies. Built over a hundred interfaces and participated in a number of key data migrations.Continued to receive enterprise-level software development training on a yearly basis.

Installed hardware and software solutions for customers including doctor’s offices, medical clinicsand hospitals. Provided one-on-one training with medical staff and assisted with complex orcustom installations. Also provided data services for smaller customers which eventually led tocompany-sponsored software development training which would start my career as a softwareengineer.
