Following promotion from Machine Operator my new role of setter operator consisted of attending to major machine breakdowns, reporting and working directly with the shift supervisor, taking on more leadership of the shift. I also attend daily meetings to discuss the maintenance, quality and performances of the manufacturing lines.

Having started my time as a 100% Quality Control (QC) inspector, I have since been promoted into my current role as a machine operator tasked with the manufacture and quality control of hub bearings within NSK's Peterlee Plant.

In this role, I built a semi professional football club from nothing. In doing this I built a team of staff to assist with the day to day running of the club. I oversee all operations at the football club including a small team of staff, also dealing directly with outside organisations such as the FA. I have currently guided the club up a level and to cup success whilst staying sustainable financially. The club under my stewardship has moved from unranked up to step 7 in the countries league system.

My roll here was as the intermediary for motor insurance claims; essentially deliberating over the information provided by claimants and third parties in at times highly contentious claims. This roll was both enjoyable and demanding as it required me to be flexible, empathetic and also neutral in my judgement and decision making. Additionally, the role necessitated that I become fully conversant with motor insurance law and the FCA in order to provide timely and accurate advice to all parties concerned in any claim.

My role at Asda was in the 'George' Clothing department whereby I was initially tasked with day-to-day customer facing tasks such as till operator, changing room inspections, stock control and general customer service advice. From here, I progressed to a Supervisory role which saw me assist in the training and development of junior Customer Service advisors as well as managing the department for extended periods, leading a three man team in the absence of more experienced managers.
