Providing a consistent focal point for customers, Original Equipment and Aftermarket operations across the globe. Responsible for the management of all Business Unit SG&A (50 heads, approx £2M). Leadership: Currently managing four direct line reports and the operational staff of the business unit totalling 40 staff. Also leading functional reports in Engineering, Tendering, Aftermarket and Projects teams based in the key manufacturing facilities in Europe, Asia and the Americas. A visible, hands on leader, encouraging staff to develop and extend their responsibility to improve personal and team performance. Run the internal nuclear professionalism course promoting continual behavioural and procedural improvement. Operational Management: Responsible for working closely with each facility’s programme management teams to deliver over £100M of equipment backlog to customers in Europe, Asia, Americas and Africa. Equipment ranges from engineered to order ASME Class 1 reactor coolant pumps (>£15M) to standard product cooling water pumps (~£200k). Requiring strong influencing and negotiating to ensure facility decisions are made in the best interests of the Power Business Unit customers and strategic targets.Strategic Development: Leading a £12M project of high strategic importance to deliver Feedwater pumps for nuclear power stations in China.
