He has experience in writing documentation to support various phases of the SDLC, including requirements, software design and test documentation. Most of Gareth's time in this role was spent designing, developing and testing software upgrades to CSCI level components within the TDS of the Seahawk. Each component comprised of a separate real-time embedded software system. His most notable achievement was the software interfacing of a FLIR to the Seahawk’s TDS in a fast-track exercise following the events of September 11, 2001.As a secondary role, Gareth provided system administration support to the chief network administrator, ensuring the local AWSC network remained operational and assisted with hardware support, troubleshooting and maintenance of all computers.
