Gareth graduated from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland in 2002 and joined NBS in 2017. He has previously worked for Gregory Architects in Belfast, Northern Ireland for 8 years and EJE Architecture in Newcastle, Australia for 10 years. He has worked on a number of commercial, mining, retail, mixed use, residential, educational, community and recreational projects in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. In particular he has worked on documenting Hunter Sports High School (AUS$35m) which was a new built secondary school to be constructed on the existing school site and the world class Westrac NSW Facility (AUS$100m) which was a 50,000sqm industrial facility built on a 23 hectare site. He has also worked on a number of other education and aged care projects ranging from $1m to $20m.Gareth’s extensive travel through Western Europe, Eastern Europe and South East Asia has helped to broaden his design horizons.As an Architectural Technologist, Gareth is a specialist in the science and technology of architecture, building design and construction. Gareth has a strong commitment to functional design and cost effective environmentally sustainable solutions through attention to detail and coordination control. He believes that the key to a successful project is excellent organisation and communication.
