After we took Alcon public, I took a well-needed break and experienced gun injury first-hand as an instructor at an adaptive ski school in Colorado. I co-founded LodeStar Technology where we are integrating safety technology into firearms, with the potential to save thousands of lives every year in the USA alone, including children, underage teens taking a family gun to school to harm others or themselves, suicide by teens, adults using someone else's gun and gun crime committed using stolen or illegally obtained guns. This fusion of technology and firearms is an exciting business opportunity with huge social benefit.
