I am currently trying a few different business ideas out and exploring things which interest me.I have a business established where I have assisted some people with the business skills required to start a supply business focused at supplying goods to the various mines and industries in the area. I assist with my know how on good business practices and strategies.I have a patent that I am busy developing.

I was responsible for a number of studies at ERG. The major projects was a feasibility study for Comide in the DRC. The project included the study of open cast mining method for multiple pits and the processing plant which was to use a number of innovative processing methods. The Comide mine holds one of the largest un-mined cobalt resources. I also project managed a pre-feasibility study for the Kazakhstan mine SHDNK2. The study was to find the optimal mining method for a new deeper ore body. The study included managing multiple consultants in different countries as well as interacting with the Kazakh stakeholders.

I managed various studies at DRA. I was also the co-ordinator between DRA and a key client. All potential projects and communication is directed through myself in order to ensure all the client's requirements are efficiently handled by my company.

• Primarily responsible for the running the engineering department ensuring the efficient delivery of services • Responsible for resourcing and recruitment of all staff in the engineering office. Staff compliment was approximately 60 people which included specialist structural, mechanical, civil and electrical engineers, project engineers, drawing office staff, document controllers and secretarial staff.• Was active in finding and recruiting suitable firms for outsourcing of portions of engineering work, when resources were constrained. One of the projects was performed using an Indian drawing office when resources were unavailable in South Africa. • Responsible for departmental budgeting• Lead skills training and talent identification, which was seen as a crucial aspect of the engineering department. I was responsible for identifying young engineers and draughtsmen and ensuring suitable training and personal development.• Strategic planning for the further improvement of the department and company. This included identifying specific tools which could be used to differentiate ELB from its competitors. This included the use of technology such as laser scanning as well as the identification of world class partners.• Actively involved in marketing, business development and contract negotiation.

• Appointed engineering manager in a small firm supplying three core technologies to industry. My position involved managing and coordinating a small engineering department;• I was responsible for designing various materials handling components and storage silos for lump sum turn key projects;• I performed role of project manager on two major contracts.

• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ash handling plant on the power station;• Responsible for the development of life of plant maintenance schedule;• Responsible for fault diagnosis on all plant breakdowns;• Project managed all major projects on the ash plant. These included all the major modifications on the plant.
