Currently working at BPM Bath as part of the team undertaking our move towards MCS accreditation (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) in renewable technologies. This project will see the company gradually move into the renewable energy sector beginning with Solar PV.Qualified to a post-graduate level, I have a degree in Environmental Studies as well as other relevant diplomas. Additionally, I’m experienced in team management having worked in both the public and private sectors, both paid and voluntary.I am a qualified plumber and well on my way to achieving my own higher qualifications in renewable energy technologies: ground/air source heat pumps; solar thermal; rainwater/greywater harvesting. A large portion of my working life (23 years) was spent working as long haul cabin crew for British Airways where many skills - in particular my communication and customer service skills - were learned and practiced to an exceptionally high level; but I'm still always looking to learn. In 2020 I left the airline business to pursue a career in renewable technology where I intend to use my academic achievements, existing skills, newly acquired technical knowledge and qualifications to forge a fresh career path that will be a small part of the solution to the climate crisis.
