Assumed management and strategic leadership responsibility for integration, change management and staff engagement of all consultancy departments from former Quest and Delta-Simons businesses following the sale of DS to Quest in 1999 - driving change and turning loss making consultancy units into profit and growth by focusing attention on customers, staff and financial performance. Provided focal point and leadership for consultancy departments in each of the regional offices. Worked with new leadership to develop new processes and the alignment of existing procedures, QAQC and management systems. Contributed to the enhancement of HR and H&S systems and took leadership role for P&L of all consultancy units, closing unprofitable sections and supporting the development of more profitable markets and geographies. Developed a recovery and growth strategy resulting in a comprehensive restructure and the recruitment of key individuals into the business to facilitate renewed customer focus and operational excellence whilst retaining key technical expertise from both the Quest and Delta-Simons businesses. Championed QDS's commitment to and support of the formation of the Inogen Environmental Alliance, attending the first client event for the new Global entity in Guildford in 2002. Assisted QDS co-directors manage cultural and vision differences. Submitted strategic plan to separate consultancy and contracting elements of the business which was later adopted by the board resulting in re-establishment of the Delta-Simons brand in July 2003.

Project Manager for Delta-Simons which was a joint venture between Delta Environmental Consultants Inc. (now part of Antea Group) and Simons Group of Lincoln. The business was managed from the United States. Responsibilities included managing client interface and project delivery for UK and global clients. Projects included contaminated land investigation and remediation, asbestos auditing, EHS compliance auditing, merger and acquisition due dilligence and portfolio risk mitigation and management for a range of clients in the property, retail, logistics, housing, petroleum, industrial and M&A sectors. Responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of human resources to my team, project profitability and achieving business development and associated sales and profit growth targets.
