I used to work in Starbucks as a part-timer right after college, where I picked up and improved on skills such as being able to communicate with customers better, managing my time and duties well and being responsible. Besides that, I worked as a Math teacher in a tuition centre called Math Monkey, where I taught kids to learn and do Math in a fun and interactive manner. I represented Sunway University multiple times during the Education Fair hosted by Star at Mid Valley or KLCC, by assisting parents who wanted to know more of Sunway’s courses, fees structures and scholarships. After that, I had a short stint working as a part-timer in Gamers Hideout, a retail outlet that sells computer peripherals, laptops, consoles, and games. I learnt marketing techniques on how to upsell products. Besides that, I also learnt how to manage customers’ expectations and complaints.At present, I am working fulltime as a Junior Finance Officer at First Nationwide Group, a property development company situated at Bandar Utama. It was an eye opener for me while I was working there because it was my first time working in a big and established firm, and it goes without saying that I have picked up ample amounts of experience as well as skills in using accounting software systems such as IBM, and also handling the accounts of subsidiary companies from the parent company.
