As a contracted Sr F5 Network Engineer for Capital One, It was required for me to have advanced to expert knowledge in all technical aspects of network load balancing engineering with F5 technologies including iApps, iRules, security, proxy pac’s and advanced health checks within GTM/LTM. As a contracted F5 engineer for Boeing, through Dell. It was required of me to posses these technical requirements: Heavy experience in design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large network environment, consisting of multiple F5 Load balancers. Experience in routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and also with layer-2, layer-3 and layer-4 as well as TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS network protocols. heavy experience of working with BIG-IP LTM, GTM, EM and Viprions • I also had to have expertise in configuring advance load balancing algorithms like cookie persistence, priority group and a very strong working knowledge of iRules, iApp, and SSL PKI, as well as having a strong understanding of LTM interaction with Apache ,TomCat and other technologies that include Linux OS, firewalls, Oracle, NFS, and virtualization pools I also had the responsibility to troubleshoot web load balancing through tools such as Fiddler, HTTPWatch.My day to day responsibilities included providing application delivery engineering associated with load balancing with F5 devices for new project designs for Boeing, both internal and external customers worldwide. Responsible for implementing 3 test clusters for the Affinity Project, which are for the Windows Market Place, Microsoft Store and Microsoft Solutions. Provided on-site lab system support, configuration and maintenance. Built and maintained an intranet website via SharePoint for document sharing and team collaboration. Developed and maintained lab documentation; includes sections for frequently asked questions and policies. Created lab inventory for all lab devices based on rack, bench, and aisle to aid team on server location and to help out defining needed hardware.
