I currently work in a start-up, and am involved in every aspect of decision making and design the way the company and its affiliates get work done. I create all the marketing materials/collateral, the sales strategies, the work flows, the operational procedures, the hiring parameters and when needed provide consul to the owner on available financial, competitive, investment (and whatever else really) strategies, as well as providing consul on how to set up our capital structure. I have a hand in all aspects of the company and deal directly with the owner and any potential shareholders/stakeholders.

By the end of my time at V. Future I had been involved in, either through consultation, direct action or direct decision making, almost every department of the company. Originally given the role of ensuring that all aspects of the foreign departments (teaching, training, planning, leadership, operations, IT, payroll, HR, marketing, event planning, etc.) were planned out and executed, my scope of responsibilities eventually extended through the entire company. Within each department I created the materials/resources, planned their implementation, monitored their execution and reviewed the results/feedback. I did everything from planning PDF documents for internal management use, to arbitrating on internal matters, providing voice-overs for a video series, teaching, hosting marketing events, putting up dry wall and rerouting plumbing, and the list goes on. It was a busy time… My final act at the company was to come up with a financial plan to help survive COVID, after which I moved to Canada.

This position entailed evaluating the marketability of products and implementing alterations as necessary; training and managing teachers, teaching assistants, and marketing and sales staff; and facilitating cooperation between intracompany departments. I was also required to function as an HR manager for a number of employees, evaluating and providing feedback on performance and areas in need of improvement as necessary. Additional responsibilities eventually included designing operating procedures for the company.

Whilst working this position I was required to prepare course outlines for IELTS, TOEFL and SAT courses. All courses were tailored for each individual students' needs, and were required to focus on the most outstanding problems experienced by the learner. I was also required to prepare and provide on-site training to colleagues. Furthermore, this position entailed preparing product packages aimed at a specific demographic of individuals looking to take educational trips abroad. All product packages were successfully integrated into this start-up company.

This position involved performing lower level external audits on our clients.I was required to verify financial records; balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports and stock reports, determine the scope of and investigate anomalies, generate risk-assessment algorithms, identify flaws in procedures and finalize and provide an opinion on post-verification financial statements.
