The contracts and commissions have been very varied and have included preparing master planning scheme designs and managing design teams for sites in Cornwall, Aldershot, Tunbridge Wells and Dorchester. The practice has also spent time on site in New Delhi, overseeing technical drawing packages, construction and selection of the stonework for a new classical house project.As a result of the high demand we have had for consultancy work; the practice has historically only taken on a few commissions from private clients each year. Those have included providing architectural design and technical services for a number of master planning village schemes, village infill, increasing development on several town sites, new replacement dwellings in the greenbelt / countryside/ conservation areas, in Hampshire, Kent, Surrey and Dorset. In the last few years Green Sphere Design have also completed an eco‐building for a Dorset School and obtained approval for a new eco extension to a Preschool. Most recently we have been focused on consents for Orangery's, Garden Rooms and major alterations to many listed buildings for several clients and also received a 5 Star Award for our design for Marston and Langinger's Chelsea flower Show exhibit in 2015. Those commissions along with our forward planning and countryside replacement dwelling assignments have been varied in style and always requiring careful and considered design. Duties included the development of projects from initial survey and preparing sketch schemes/ perspectives, to appointing Architects, Quantity Surveyors and preparing specifications, budgets and documentation for the purposes of tender.All of the refurbishments required the attendance at local licensing courts to gain approval of the magistrates and occasionally very delicate negotiations were undertaken with local authorities where listed buildings were being extended/ modified. After tender returned, contracts negotiated and signed. Work supervised on site, valued and approved at all levels, whilst implementing good workmanship and tight cost control.Projects varied in style from rural public houses and restaurants to town center nightspots.
