He leads a dynamic team of closure planners, engineers, and project managers in executing, inter alia, closure studies, PMLU assessments, closure cost estimating, landform and cover designs, erosion analyses, tailings facility closure, hydrogeology, and other technical studies. Gareth has actively participated in and led integrated engineering and environmental projects for mines, quarries, power stations, and other industries since 2000. Before that, he was engaged in the agricultural and water resources sectors.Gareth has managed multiple projects from the opportunity phase to conceptual/OoM studies, pre-feasibility studies (A&B), feasibility studies, detailed designs, tender documentation, and execution/site supervision. He is PMP certified. He has also led and participated in various research projects—his PhD focused on integrated resource planning, management, and security.
