My dream as a youngster was to become an architect. I've always had, and still have, a deep appreciation for well designed buildings and art. During my school years I took a computer studies as a subject and grew interest in building software. During open days at local universities the passion around computer science was intoxicating and decided I wanted to study computer science.I could still express my creativity in design through software solutions. In my second year I started to assist in teaching first year students. In my third year, I continued this and was also invited to by external parties to teach employees at a military defense research institute at the CSIR. I also started doing contract work for another military technology company called Land Mobility Technologies (LMT).I finished my degree and went on to do my honours degree in computer science while still developing for LMT and doing assistant teaching. I started with my masters degree in computer science with specialization in the artificial intelligence work. It was during this time a company called KBR who was part of the Halliburton group in the petrochemicals and energy industry employed me full time. While working at KBR, I received acclamations through rewards for the creation of various processes and systems which helped the company.After KBR, I went on to work for a small startup called Valar Design. Here I was able to expressed my creative freedom and assisted in various projects and designs in multiple ways. After being involved for a couple of years and wanting to grow more, I decided to move on to a role at a company called InnoVent Rental & Asset Management Solutions.InnoVent also allows me to express my creativity in designing solutions. Currently we are busy building a team and solution to take the company forward and to the next level with regards to contract, customer and project management systems.
