I completed my Bachelor of Business Science degree in Actuarial Science - Quantitative Finance from the University of Cape Town in November 2007. I have since been working in various Quantitative/Credit Risk Analyst roles within the banking industry in South Africa. My 10+ years of experience includes the extensive use of SAS, SPSS, SQL, Python and MS Excel for data mining, building and monitoring predictive models, data analysis, MI reporting, and the automation of data extractions, decisions and reports. The focus of my work has been within credit risk, capital management, direct marketing, collections, and various other analytics functions within retail banking, wholesale banking and telecommunications. I also have experience in the training and managing of new employees as well project management.
