A strategically focused leader and former Royal Navy Captain with more than two decades of military experience specialising in the execution of covert maritime operations in direct support of the UK’s national security objectives. I commanded a nuclear powered hunter-killer submarine with a crew of 175 personnel and trained future submarine Commanding Officers. In my final appointment in the Royal Navy’s Headquarters I led a hybrid team of civilian and military personnel who managed the war-fighting capabilities of the submarine force with an annual budget of c£1B/Yr.In September 2023 I transferred to the private sector and joined the world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation AtkinsRéalis.
