Junior Through To Senior Network And Systems Administrator

In my role as a Senior Network and Systems Administrator I was responsible for administering and maintaining 60+ servers, Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 at four sites and a new cross-forest infrastructure. I built and setup a new Anti-Virus Server which controlled and prevented threats throughout the entire network; I was also the main person responsible for Web Filtering to keep the network safe from Internet threats.I was responsible for creating a new Forest on some new Blade Servers. I also built 4x Exchange 2007 SP2. I trusted it to our old Forest and started migrating Users and Mailboxes over to the new domain.I was jointly responsible for a 1000+ users of which a few hundred were remote users and were using either broadband or 3G services to connect to the network. There were two satellite offices, one in Dublin, Ireland and one in Hinckley, Leicestershire. We were also responsible for another Company in London, where we did all of their IT support and Hardware. I used to travel and sometimes stay for a few days at each of these locations, when there was a lot of work to be carried out, for example setting one of these new offices up. There was a lot of Network maintenance to be carried out after hours, weekends etc. which we did on a regular basis. For supporting this number of Users efficiently I have gained excellent communication skills and have had to learn how to quickly get to the source of any problem, as most Users are not technically proficient.
