For the past several years I have been developing intelligent search engine and social media strategies for clients targeting regional and international leads in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia-Pac.At Knight Frank I have headed up SEO for 4 years, successfully growing the company’s search ranking and organic traffic volume by introducing a clearer and more hands on SEO strategy and furthering it with advanced off-site search techniques, deploying smart PR and social media techniques.My achievements have been acknowledged with a Business Generation Award, presented for a successful SEO campaign that netted a significant volume of business for the company, resulting in the creation of a new internal position to help manage the leads.In my current role I have overseen the search engine strategy behind the migration and roll out of the company’s international sites to the in-house built CMS. The project has involved dozens of multilingual TLDs in key territories around the world. At the same time I have been developing and building out our SEO strategy to leverage more earned media by incorporating social content into the overall strategy.My background stems from my HND in International Travel with Information Systems to film-making and a long spell with BBC and Ulster Television working in N&CA, production and BBC Online. I landed in London with a database administrator’s role digitizing and archiving International News Media global newspaper empire. The new project taught me a lot about information architecture, naming conventions and categorisation using keywords. Further experience with Her Majesty’s Treasury working on the 05/06 Budget and Pre-Budget Report websites followed by live broadcasting and studio recording at Westminster Live brought me my specialisation, SEO.
