About Garett Stokes

With over 24 years of experience in the Audio Visual / Entertainment industry, I can say with confidence that I am an expert my in field. I am a dedicated professional, always willing to go above and beyond. I am always willing to learn new concepts and utilize them, as we are in an ever evolving industry I feel that this is key to continued growth.Whether the job is a small breakout session with some minor AV needs, or a 10,000 seat concert blasting FOH at 120dB... every show has unique needs that must be met in order to be successful. No two events are the same, but all must be approached with the same sense of respect and professionalism.As an audio engineer for large scale concerts, corporate events, festivals, theatrical and television productions, I am familiar with the multiple aspects of various types of live productions and the unique challenges presented by each type. I have extensive experience working in fast-paced, high-stress environments... and I truly enjoy it. While audio is my greatest strength, I also have experience as a camera operator, video engineer, lighting engineer and stage manager / production manager. These experiences have allowed me to gain a very well rounded understanding of all aspects of production and bring a sense of teamwork to every production. I also have a firm grasp on troubleshooting any problems that may arise and resolving them without affecting the quality of a production.As a show lead, I am constantly coordinating crew members from stagehands to drivers to technicians, in the best efforts to create a professional production, in the most efficient manner. I believe that leadership is key in this process, and I choose to lead by example. Aside from delegating tasks for various crew members, you would find me working right there alongside them, running feeder, loading trucks, hanging drape, etc. I would never assign a person to a task that I would not be willing to do myself.
