San Francisco Bay Area artist Garey Rickher-an artist, musician, guitar teacher, and audio engineer. He also dabbles as a producer for his own original band “Arkaen“, as well his own electronic music endeavors. As a guitarist he shines, having thirty years experience, partially formally trained through professional guitar teachers, and part self-exploration. Having a deep interest in writing original music, as well as expanding/broadening his knowledge of the music industry, he attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Ca. and achieved a certificate in Commercial Music. Wanting to further pursue understanding in engineering, producing, and recording arts, he graduated the diploma program at SAE/Ex’pression college for digital arts in Emeryville, Ca.Having an interest in nearly every form of music including western popular music, electronic music, jazz, classical, world music, etc., he feels closest to home in the rock/progressive idiom. That being said, he has performed with cover bands, playing classics from Motown ’til now, a country cross-over act, and currently is a member of local Bay Area’s Pity the Foo (a Foo Fighter cover band), as well as the newly emerging Arkaen (formerly local original rock band juggernaut, Full on Flyhead).
