Improving performance through better learning is my passion! I work with businesses to craft appropriate learning solutions that don't focus on 'ticking boxes' but on bringing performance improvement.It's funny that I landed in the workplace learning space almost by chance about 2 decades ago and found Instructional Design to be a close cousin of Advertising. Got myself certified in ID from Capella University and have enjoyed the journey since. Over the years I have been fortunate to be involved with numerous corporate training & learning initiatives and those experiences have given me a great perspective of what actually works and what does not. Lately, I've been delving deep into the learning science and research and attempting to bring those into our solutions and offerings. I firmly believe, solutions that are based on learning research could deliver much better outcomes, help make real business impact, and improve the overall L&D brand.Internally at Upside Learning, I'm nudging our employees to become more active and healthy. It was fascinating to be involved in the commissioning of the plant - dirty and dangerous environment plus 12 hour shifts - but it was great fun learning every day. My line manager here was the best I got to work with - Mr. Sarkar! So much passion and great people management skills.
