- Researched ways to incorporate linguistic feature analysis and natural language processing into deep neural networks to create an algorithm that can predict early symptoms of Dementia in the elderly.- Developed a Python source code to segment transcripted speech files and extract notable features such as verb-to-noun ratio, speech rate, etc. from each speaker. The results were exported to an Excel sheet and bar plots were generated to compare the feature analysis for Dementia patients and Control subjects.
