CurrentKey/Primary Objectives;☛ Lead and implement all sustainability initiatives across the organization, set and achieve GHG reduction targets, etc.☛ Unlock value from real estate holdings (over 160 owned properties) through detailed highest-and-best use analysis. Manage planning, zoning, entitlements, disposition, development, construction, analysis, etc.☛ Maximize densities and value, select optimal mix of asset classes/uses, manage JV partnerships, sever and/or sell portions of entitled land, make recommendations based on detailed research and analytics, manage official, secondary and zoning plan amendments, etc. Stringent analytical assessment of all options while also considering the capital and cash implications to the overall business. ☛ Manage design, planning, governmental approvals, construction and relocation of facilities in across North America. Improve efficiencies, attraction and retention of key talent and manage hybrid work environment requirements. ☛ Manage real estate portfolio and lead/coach North American real estate and facilities teams.☛ Manage facilities capital expenditure budgets to maintain/improve asset value and business operations.☛ Report directly to CFO and CEO; providing direction on all corporate real estate and sustainability activities/initiatives. ☛ Manage/direct/select all third-party real estate contracts and consultants. ☛ Manage acquisition and disposition activities to assist Toromont in fulfilling corporate and operational objectives. ☛ Build/manage tailored multi-functional teams to achieve desired objectives. Direct JV partners, planning consultants, designers/architects, construction partners, legal professionals, engineers, etc. ☛ Tender construction and consultant contracts. Selection of best-in-class partners for each project based on experience, skillset, pipeline/ability to stay on time and on budget; all while minimizing overall cost and achieving the greatest returns for Toromont.
