I studied Business Administration at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), and later participated in a Cultural Exchange Program that allowed me to reside in Nantucket, MA, during a four month period. During this stay I collaborated with companies in the tourism industry such as Nantucket Boat Basin and Harbor House Village. This experience was my first contact with the industry, a relationship I have maintained throughout my post-university professional life. After returning to the Dominican Republic, I worked with Hilton Hotels until 2006, when received a grant from the Ministerio de Educación Superior (MESCyT) to study for my Masters in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Universidad de Alcalá, in Madrid, Spain. Back in the Dominican Republic in 2009, I worked briefly for the Cluster Turístico de Santo Domingo. After receiving a job offer from Fundación Tropicalia in 2010, I moved to Miches, a city located in the northeast part of the country. Fundación Tropicalia was established in 2008 by Tropicalia, which is a sustainable tourism and real estate development of Cisneros Real Estate. I started as Coordinator Assistant in December 2010 and in July 2011 was promoted to General Coordinator. In September 2018, transitioned to Manager of Inter-Institutional Relations for Tropicalia. From this position, I support the General Manager in the design and execution of the institutional relationship plan of Tropicalia and works closely with local stakeholders, including community leaders, public sector authorities, construction partners, and hotel operators.From august 2020 I got to be the executive director of “Asociación de Hoteles y Turismo El Seibo-Miches PROMICHES”, an NGO that groups the main investments in the hospitality and real estate business in the Miches destination, representing an investment of more than a billion dollars.
