I instituted a number of training programs and had to manage the equivalent of a small business that does over $1.2 million on a yearly basis. I was the sole link between the corporate offices and the employees at my branch. I utilized marketing from the company and used my own ideas to have the region's second highest increase in the current fiscal year by the time of my departure. I managed the payroll, scheduling employees under my allotted time per store to cut down on unearns. Also, I merchandised the store at least twice a season, as well as creating custom displays for my store. I was in charge of loss prevention as well, cutting down on both internal and external sources of shrink. I did customer outreach to build the customer base back up a store that had seen significant downsizing in previous years. I continued to sell as much as possible. I performed all of the duties I had in the previous two positions. I sat in on conference calls and did presentations to better train both fellow managers and my associates. I helped train others on the tuxedo rental system as well. I stepped down from the position in order to focus more time on my new job with RunningBall. Show less

I frequently helped train staff in addition to the protocols set forth from the company and store manager. I provided operational and merchandising support to the store manager, following floor sets and offering my point of view on what would or would not work in our location. I helped prepare and assist for the annual inventory as well as individual item inventories throughout the year. I kept up with certain KPI measures to assist the store manager, making sure he knew if any associate fell below certain standards. I routinely helped close sales for associates. I helped mediate conflicts between employees, and I helped resolve customer issues. Shipping and receiving both items for customers and for the store was something I did as well. I helped switch the merchandising for sales by doing floor sets and changing the signs on items. I also performed filing and efficient record keeping, as well as performing audit and bookkeeping duties to keep the store's finances in order. Finally, I routinely opened and closed the store, keeping up with loss prevention duties as well. Show less

I also created outfits and wardrobes for customers by layering suits, shirts, ties, socks, shoes, belts, sweaters, and accessories altogether for purchase. I created customer profiles, updated information in them, and kept records for group purchases and rentals. We constantly created leads by making both pre-screened calls and cold calls. I had to be an attentive listener, provide platinum customer service, meet my sales and KPI goals consistently for transactions, and know both the catalog and products fully. Finally, I had to ensure, in my downtime, that the store was cleaned and maintained on the sales floor, in the backroom, and the bathrooms. Show less
