Growing up, I would question everything. To this day, sometimes my inquisitive nature drives my loved ones crazy! I'm always trying to figure out the why. It's like an insatiable curiosity. Why do people do the things they do? Why do people make certain choices? Why do people think or feel a certain way about something? Unfortunately for my mom, the "because I'm your mother" speech didn't really work for me. I needed some sort of logical pathway to come to a reasonable conclusion backed by data to accept the why.It wasn't until several years after living abroad when I dropped in on a marketing course at my previous university did it finally click. MARKETING was my calling. The social and psychological aspects combined with quantitative and qualitative data is the perfect blend of the soft and hard sciences I was looking for in my professional life. Marketing is the intersect where I can help clients understand and define their needs while at the same time explain how our company can help create value in going beyond just meeting their needs. And well hey, I just really enjoy helping people!Currently I have a dual role as the Marketing Manager and International Account Manager. I have had the opportunity to be a part of the entire customer journey, from awareness to closing the deal. This has really given me insight into what is most important for our clients. This helps give meaning to the "why" which I am always searching for and keeps me fulfilled in my professional life.
