Senior Architectural Historian
I meet the Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualification Standards as a Historian and Architectural Historian and have served in that capacity since 2011. I have worked on hundreds of projects which, range in complexity from simple, single resource determination of eligibility to developing Memorandum of Agreements and implementing mitigation where Projects will affect historic resources. Additionally, I have extensive business development skills as I am the primary point of contact for all historic built environment pursuits. I have served as project and task manager leading the collective effort of the broader cultural resources team. In my current role as Senior Architectural Historian, I work with a team of talented architectural historians and archaeologists. I serve as supervisor to our architectural history team which serves clients across the Western United States. I work a diverse group of clients including private electrical utilities, local and regional water agencies, local municipalities, private developers, in addition to Federal and State agencies such as the Bureau of Reclamation, Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration, Federal Energy Regulatory Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service and state agencies including Caltrans, High Speed Rail Authority, and the California Office of Historic Preservation.

Additionally, I have evaluated hundreds of historic properties for potential inclusion to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), California Register of Historical resources (CRHR), and local preservation ordinances. Architectural Historian
At Cardno, I have been responsible for a wide variety of tasks ranging from research and fieldwork, completing historic resource reports, developing historic contexts, interacting with clients, and developing scope of work and budgets. While at Cardno my work has focused primarily on the utility sector working extensively with Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Southern California Edison. Work has included the Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Relicensing effort in which, I aided in the historic context development and National Register of Historic Places evaluation of the historic district. In addition to this project, I have worked on a litany of smaller projects including substations, transmission lines, and industrial buildings. For Southern California Edison I worked on the Big Creek Hydroelectric System Historic District, evaluating the transmission and substation facilities has contributors to the National Register nomination. In addition to utilities, I have worked an a multitude clients including private developers, real estate agents, Sacramento County, and other federal agencies such as the Forrest Service.

I have conducted research at national, state, municipal, and private repositories across California and Nevada. I have photographed, described, and evaluated hundreds of historic resources under the NRHP, CRHR, and historic resources from the purposes of CEQA. I have worked on HABS/HAER, HRER, DPR-523, and National Register Nominations. Conducted and transcribed multiple oral interviews. I have done data entry and assisted in the management of large databases. I can effectively use ArcGis software for designing maps and displaying information.I wrote, designed, edited "From Sawdust to Uranium: The History of Electrical Power Generation in Humboldt County and Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Humboldt Bay Power Plant 1883-2019" published in 2013. I helped design, write, and curate a museum exhibit that accompanied the release of the above said book.
