Focusing on both private and public entities cut customer acquisition time in half.

Dept. of Defense Contract Management: assisted in contract negotiations on current contracts for the Navy. * Managed relationships and negotiated over 15 contracts with third-party vendors and technology partners totaling $50 million. * Reconciled payment discrepancies; resolved client billing and eligibility. * Authored contracts for the Department of the Navy specializing in ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship communications.

One of five team members selected for San Diego State University’s Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) team (VCIC is the nation’s premiere strategy competition for venture-minded and entrepreneurial MBA students). * Created valuation models, term sheets, portfolio strategy and conducted due diligence for venture capital funding. Partnered with local VCs in preparation for the Western Division Venture Capital Investment Competition at USC. Delivered presentation to 15 VCs and placed 3rd in finals, finishing ahead of UCLA and UC Berkeley

Intern for Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT). Conducted strategic assessment of a new micro-battery technology. Carried out industry analysis for multiple vertical markets. Part of a team responsible for determining market entry points for new technology and contacting prospective strategic partners.

UCSD’s TechTIPS is responsible for the management of all intellectual property developed at UCSD. As one of two fellows I was responsible for market analysis, evaluation of market opportunity, and identification of specific potential licensees for a new streaming video delivery technology developed by UCSD. Gained experience in analysis of license term sheets, commercializing early-stage technology, and working on a cross-functional team. Discovered patent pool consisting of key patents covering MPEG 4(H.265) technology that formed a strategic fit for existing UCSD technology.
