With over six years of experience in the outdoor nonprofit sector, I have developed a strong passion for connecting people with nature and fostering a sense of community and stewardship. As the Associate Director of Events and Facilities at The Mountaineers, I oversaw the operations and growth of the facility rental and event programs, working with a diverse range of clients, partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality and memorable experiences. I also supported the organization's mission and vision by creating and implementing strategic plans, budgets, policies, and procedures for the events and facilities department, as well as collaborating with other teams and departments. In addition to my managerial and operational skills, I have a solid background in ecology and evolutionary biology, which I obtained from my master's degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia and my bachelor's degree at the University of Florida. I also hold multiple certifications in wilderness medicine and outdoor guiding, which demonstrate my commitment to safety and best practices in the field.
