I have had amazing experiences being a part of the space industry, specifically involved in the remote sensing and defense fields. From writing embedded application software in Python and C/C++ to hardware/software integration, I have developed professional skills in the dynamic world of software and systems engineering. My role has extended beyond coding, as I have actively contributed to systems engineering tasks, including generating and reviewing requirements and system designs, trade-studies, and proposals/designs/work breakdown structures for new features, systems, and capabilities. I have enjoyed collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical professionals. I get a lot of fulfillment when our craft leaves the ground, or when our development goes into production providing value to customers who use and appreciate our services.I have experience working in the Defense Industry as an Embedded Software Engineer. I worked as a full-time AV Engineer on the BYU - Idaho campus, developing and supporting software and hardware systems in 300+ learning and conferencing environments, researching and troubleshooting with suppliers and manufacturers, training the onsite technician team, and documenting system designs.Previously, I was the Team Lead Technician on campus responsible for managing team workflow, hands on training for new technicians, and advanced troubleshooting and setup for campus systems.
