The event was attended by over 500 students.

Garrett worked with the Office of Residence Life to set the strategic direction to engage and align the resources of 250 Resident Advisors.Garrett directly oversaw the training and management of 12 Resident Advisors and 250 First Year residents, advising a student leadership council, organizing and developing programs promoting alcohol and drug safety, successful study habits, and social events.

Garrett supported the President and Director of National Plug-in Vehicle Initiative in collaboration with over 60 companies and 160 people for the development of the GoElectricDrive.com website. Garrett performed research skills including compiling and editing content, creating energy saving calculators, and facilitating stakeholder representatives to craft a unified message.

Garrett worked with the VAABC stakeholders to craft an ennobling message that was used to align and motivate 24 Junior Staffers. He co-created and implemented a 3-day retreat for 24 Junior Staffers through leadership development training, Experiential Learning Activities, and continuous learning task in which the Junior Staff would successfully lead 20+ high school students each for 4 days of leadership activities and creating leadership plans to combat alcohol and drug abuse in communities throughout Virginia.
