I'm the son of an entrepreneur, who's the son of an entrepreneur. Growing up, dinner time in my household consisted of stories around team-building, hiring decisions, raising money, problem-solving, competition, successes, failures, (sports talk,) and the grit required to make it as a businessman in America who aspires to build a small business into a large entity despite the long odds. This challenge and pursuit drives me professionally, intellectually, and personally. To accomplish this goal, I have spent my working life acquiring the skills and knowledge that have prepared me for this challenge: - Participated as an angel investor in a Series B round in a leading Insurtech software venture.- Successfully raised over $1M in seed funding. - Facilitated and structured the management buyout of a $25M insurance agency. - Structured and creatively financed the product acquisition of Propelicy, along with a committed two-year runway in the funding of $750K, and oversaw the transition to a new technology team. - Co-founded, bootstrapped, and grew a web development team to a peak of 10 on- and offshore owners/contractors, which generated over $2M in revenue.- Led the implementation and execution of Scrum at a startup SaaS company, which generated 4x growth of ARR over 12 months to $1M+. - Oversaw the product development of more than a dozen web and mobile apps.- Orchestrated numerous business development relationships that led to successful channel partnerships, strategic partnerships, license agreements, and financing. - Partnered with over 50 small businesses on strategic management, governance, fiscal, project management, product management, and fundraising initiatives as a consultant.- Instructed hundreds of adults and college students on financial and management topics at local colleges. - Participated in countless capital market transactions that raised over $10B across various Fortune 500 companies and a Top 50 hedge fund. When I am not spending my waking time thinking about my business, I can be found playing ice hockey, running, biking, swimming, or spending time with my wife, family, and friends.Professional SkillsTeam Building | Fundraising | Governance | Product Development | Project Management | Accounting | Human Resources | Public Speaking | Business Development | Programming (HTML/CSS/JS, RoR, Python, C#, SQL) | SaaS | Digital Marketing | Insurance MarketplaceDomain KnowledgeInsurTech | Agile/Scrum | SMB Software | Strategic Planning | Budgeting | Financing | Financial Analysis | Data Analysis | Salesforce
