Completed day to day tasks relating to but not limited to, feeding, animal health/welfare, pasture health management, fencing, welding and mechanical repairs on a ranch spanning 10,000+ acres.

Learned and developed skills equivalent to full time employees in different areas of the feedlot including receiving and processing of new cattle and reimplantion of fat cattle. Extended amounts of time were spent learning observational skills on horseback to be able to pull and treat cattle with various ailments as well as time in the hospital to physically treat the animals with the necessary treatment. I also spent time driving a feed truck and how to properly feed cattle at the bunk and spent a large amount of time in the feed mill learning and operating the steam flaker. I also participated in the data collection for several research trials that were conducted by the resident nutritionist in my summers between my college classes.
