About Garrett Montgomery

I graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have also completed the Mechanical FE exam. I am currently working as a Project Engineer at Kraton Chemicals. I have completed various projects, including a cross-disciplinary mechanical/nuclear Senior Design project at the University which can be seen in the Experience section. During my time at the University and in the field I have become proficient in 3D Printing, SolidWorks, Inventor (CAD), Matlab, Microsoft Office, metal fabrication, nuclear waste facility safety requirements, and time studies and data collection. Along with my technical skills, I have gained extensive and broad process knowledge through my work at a chemical facility, a high level nuclear waste vitrification facility, a luxury boat manufacturing facility, and a large volume can manufacturing facility.
