As a field sales & marketing representative for Techtronic Industries, I covered a territory in Columbia, SC where I was responsible for the marketing, event coordination, and relationships of the brands and people I worked with. Our main customer was The Home Depot where I was in charge of multiple brands. Covering the territory meant careful planning and execution of store visits and objectives, event promotion and up to date product knowledge. Relationships were the most important part of the job and allowed me to have prime real estate within my stores to showcase my products, and to grow with the store managers as we worked together to increase sales.

At the University of Tennessee, I earned a degree in Finance and a degree in Marketing. My experience at UT has been a large part of who I am today. Both academically and socially, going to school at The University of Tennessee was both an honor and tremendous experience. I learned under many great professors and build a family of close friends and relationships while there. I would not trade it for anything. As an alumni, I hope to represent UT in the best way possible and to continue to support the Vols.

Working at Shoemaker I shadowed an experience advisor and learn a great deal about the financial world and more importantly how important managing relationships is. I also took part in weekly seminars to learn more about the industry and the different routes one could take. I was extremely blessed to shadow a great and very successful advisor. During the internship I helped coordinate two client appreciation events where around 15 clients attended and learned about the economy and market updates; both events were great successes. I learned how to work and function efficiently in a client-relationship based industry and how to stay productive.

As a sales associate at J. Crew, I learned a vast amount about customer service and how to serve in every way possible. Learning product knowledge and the quality of the products allowed me to honestly give the customers reasons for such great products in the store. At J. Crew I continued to learn how to multitask and be aware of my surroundings and how to actively listen to customers so that I could help them and not just hard sell people.
