Garrett currently serves USAA Bank membership as a Lead Development Product Owner for Consumer Lending. In this role, he is responsible for attaining, understanding, and communicating business vision and needs in order to create the strategic and tactical roadmaps for Consumer Loan IT development efforts and manage the end-to-end workflow at the Program layer, from decomposition of work to assigning for development and release. Garrett’s career path has allowed him to witness the importance of communication, whether that be on the actual projects or to a physical audience. Change management is something that he is passionate about and believes is vital for success; and something that he has baked into his Product Development practices. Over 10 years of project experience - Business and IT Development - with an extensive, holistic knowledge and accredited training/certifications (SAFe and Prosci) throughout all phases of Agile and Waterfall project delivery.
