As an Associate Mechanical Engineer at Continental I am involved in the development of telematic systems for a variety of automotive OEMs. In this role: -I actively use both Creo (ProE) and Catia to do design of: prototypes, fixtures, testing equipment, and create drawings for our products-I am involved in performing and analyzing the data that comes from thermal, strain gauge, vibration, shock, and other performance tests.-I have been trained in and have worked on DFMEAs and am working toward completing training with GD&T as well as Product Life Cycle-Have worked in depth on advanced thermal solutions for telematic units to perform in extreme temperatures

As a returning mechanical engineering intern at Continental Automotive I was able to hit the ground running in the infotainment and connectivity department. I was able to do multiple different design projects, using the software CATIA, which consisted of different fixtures needed for vibration and a nest to hold telematics units. I then created engineering drawings, annotated to ASME standard, and had them submitted to the model shop to be created. I also worked on audible noise testing where I came up with a vibration profile and noise requirement that will be used to determine if a telematics unit passes or fails for audible noise. I was lucky enough to get to take a trip to our manufacturing plan in Nogales, Mexico where I witnessed a new product launch and was able to see firsthand how our parts are being manufactured.

At Continental I worked in the infotainment and connectivity business unit as a mechanical engineering intern. I worked on telematics units and radios that go in motor vehicles. I was able to do a combination of things such as: design work, vibration testing and analysis, tolerance analyses, and an assortment of other engineering tasks.

Installed interior and exterior drain tile systems for commercial and residential properties. I also positioned structural support systems such as helical piers on concrete foundations.
