In October 2019, I was promoted to Business Analyst III at 2U. As a Business Analyst on the Core Systems team at 2U, I act as the lead Business Analyst for a mix of front-end systems, back-end systems, and microservices with stakeholders that range from students and faculty to internal engineering teams.As a Business Analyst at 2U, my responsibilities include:• Identifying areas for improvement in 2U's internal systems using Agile methodologies and developing actionable plans to provide value in those areas• Meeting with Product Managers to plan out the team's roadmap• Communicating with stakeholders to identify pain points and working to provide value where it's needed the most• Ticketing development work through the use of user stories• Monitoring the team's backlog in Pivotal Tracker or JIRA• Writing testing guidelines for QA teams• Performing acceptance testing on completed work to ensure it meets requirements• Planning "early and often" production releases to constantly deliver value to stakeholders• Managing team resources to ensure that short-term goals and deadlines are met• Triaging and resolving JIRA Service Desk tickets
