My specialization was web application penetration testing, DAST, and the Rapid7 AppSec portfolio (AppSpider/Insight AppSec).

I managed a team that supported the MSSP/customer experience from a technical perspective. We provided technical account management, field support (labs, POCs, on-the-fly customizations, etc), and tactical sales collateral.

In this role, I worked closely with the managed security solution provider (MSSP) team, enabling the group by providing architectural guidance, developing technical sales collateral, speaking at partner events, and anything else to support the technical side of the enablement process.

My move to AlienVault was a significant one, transitioning from IT/sales engineering to product marketing; evangelizing to the information security community via webinars/seminars, blogs, community engagement, product videos, etc. I also enabled other departments within the company by producing sales tools, creating/curating our virtual lab, performing comparative analysis and providing technical guidance. I got plenty of opportunities to get my hands dirty as well by developing attack scenarios, functional product demonstrations and producing technical enablement tools.
