My name is Garrett Hooper and I am recent graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology. I obtained my bachelors of science in engineering management with an emphasis in industrial engineering and a minor in psychology.After receiving my bachelors degree I was hired into the Technology Development Program (TDP) at AT&T, starting January of 2020 in Seattle WA. Upon my start I was placed into a scrum master position within the personalization department for ATT.com. While in this role I coordinated a scrum team of 8 developers, using the agile methodology. I am currently working as a lead project manager for AT&T in the mobility department. A majority of my experience has consisted of working as a manufacturing engineer. I participated in two internships for Caterpillar Inc (Chicago IL, Waco TX). I worked in an industrial setting dealing with the manufacturing of Caterpillar oil and gas components as well as logistic solutions. I have also been heavily involved with calculating the reliability of the plant systems and implementing process improvement solutions where needed. These internship experiences with CAT allowed me to deal with time critical real world challenges that an engineer would face in the field. Caterpillar is not my first experience in an industrial engineering position. I have previously worked at Harley-Davidson in Kansas City, MO and True Manufacturing in O'Fallon, MO. In both roles I was tasked with designing parts, dealing with 3rd party vendors, and product testing. I used both experiences to sharpen my skills as an engineer and make myself a very valuable asset to any company.Throughout my college and internship experiences I have always strived to learn as much as I can. I often times find myself using those experiences in my current job in one way or another, and am extremely thankful for all of the opportunities I have been provided.
