About Garrett Garcia

I started my career in Istanbul, Turkey, where I enjoyed hands-on experiences in Learning and Development. Working from classrooms, conference rooms, coffee shops and even stages, I devoted my time to giving people skills to succeed in their careers and educational endeavors.Since 2019, I have been working in organizations that provide products and services for internationally educated and qualified individuals wishing to work or study in the USA and Canada. I currently focus on reviewing the work of international credential evaluators to guarantee fair and accurate reporting of an individual's background, plus product integrity. Beyond knowledge of global education systems, career pathways in specific countries and different approaches to credential evaluation, I've gained experience in people management, quality control, operations, content creation, and even a tick of translation and technology. I've also resumed teaching English to adults on the side. What started as a journey in the teaching of skills has moved into a career focused on helping individuals who are attempting to apply those skills through the pursuit of new educational, employment and immigration opportunities.Overall, I'm interested in the intersection between Travel, Education and Professional Development, and I would be excited to collaborate on projects addressing these concepts. Whether it's training people on a particular soft skill, organizing and interpreting legal documentation, presenting on a country's education system, or even learning Turkish, I welcome a challenge and aim to make a positive impact wherever I am. I look forward to connecting!
