As an Artist Relations Agent, it was my responsibility to assist artists with questions and issues they encountered on the DistroKid site involving their account and their music, including issues with DSP profile mapping, editing releases, royalty payouts, and anything else involving independent music distribution that I had knowledge about. I worked extensively with Google Workspace, Zendesk, Confluence, Airtable, and Spotify CMS in this role.

I write and produce music primarily under two artist projects, “underexposed” (alternative folk) and “∆nkle” (lo-fi chill hiphop beats). I am an experienced multi-instrumentalist specializing primarily in wind instruments, chordophones, and percussion. Additionally, I work freelance as a session musician, producer, and engineer for other artists, utilizing a wide range of set-ups from established to professional studios to impromptu and amateur home setups. As an independent artist, I pitch my music to verified playlist curators and find creative ways to grow my audience using social media engagement, ads, and live performance.

Making the podcast improved my newscasting vocal cadence and allowed me to hone my audio editing skills. I was a city news reporter for the Western Front, covering mostly city and county council meetings, a local election, and community news. The limits of my reporting skills were tested here; for some stories, I had to exercise immense delicacy in gathering facts on sensitive topics. Other times, I had to turn around a story in less than two days after being assigned to it.

I filled many different roles during my tenure at Veraci Pizza, including but not limited to line cook, dishwasher, host, prep cook, and mobile brick oven cart worker. The most valuable skill that I acquired here was how to keep a level head in high-stress situations, as well as delegating responsibility and problem solving when quick decision making was necessary.
