Hello, my name is Garrett Wages, and I am currently working towards a certification in audio engineering. My passion is to create music that people love and recognize. I have been producing music for about two years now and have begun to collaborate with rappers and producers. I hope to eventually professional produce for a variety of artists, both well know and those I work well with. This includes the recording, song production, mixing, and mastering. I am looking to work as an apprentice in a production studio, learning from a professional who can help me hone my skills as an audio engineer. I find that learning while actually practicing a skill leads to mastery. My main focus is hip-hop, but I am open to branching out to new genres. Also, I am interested in the marketing side of the music industry since social media has become an important aspect in marketing one's self. I am seeking information on where to start to build a name in the industry. I hope to eventually have the same success as grammy winning producer, Mike Will Made-it. He gained success by working with local artists and rising the ladder to become the powerful force he has become in hip-hop music today. The one artist I would want to work with is Madlib, producer behind one of my favorite albums, Madvillany. I have also studied as a film student at the University of North Texas and possess skill in video production and story telling through film.
