As the General Manager of a new opening, hybrid cocktail bar & late night entertainment venue my responsibilities were the overall management of the licensed premises which saw turnover of £2.5m+ annually. The delivery of all local and national promotions and activations, driving sales via various channels such as corporate/student and music driven activity. The protection of the license by working with local authorities is also a key aspect of this role.Overseeing the operation of a 800 capacity venue with a 60-strong team of; support management, bar, chef, sales, floor, DJ and security staff across 7-trading nights per week.Tasked and focused with developing business through effective marketing and promotion of cocktails/food through to highlighting venue as an corporate events and function venue. Responsible for full P&L control, forecasting, targets and KPI achievement, health, safety and hygiene enforcement with focus on risk analysis at all times. Managed bar and security team, ensured customer service levels were maximised and dealt with all situations, queries and complaints with beneficial outcome to both customer and the business requirements.I have proven instrumental with the growth of the Chelmsford Bar & Beyond for The Deltic Group through analysing competition, listening to customer needs and responding to market trends which enabled the venue to attract a wider clientele and encouraged referral trade and a higher volume of return.During my career my role and responsibilities achieved many results and recognitions including developing 7 managers and influenced their career progression to a higher level, secured trade from a local venue through analysing competition, customer awareness and market trends through to consistent promotions.
